JOB DESCRIPTION

Make your mark for patients

We are looking for a strategic, collaborative, and analytically minded Market Research & Insights Lead to shape insight generation and launch readiness for an investigational regenerative cell therapy in drug-resistant mesial temporal lobe epilepsy (mTLE), based in our Atlanta, GA office.

About the role

You will define and prioritize critical business questions, select the right research and analytics approaches, and integrate primary research with claims, referral, real-world evidence, and secondary data. You will translate complex and evolving clinical, patient, caregiver, and operational evidence into clear recommendations that strengthen regional and global decisions without overstating the evidence.

Who you'll work with

You will be part of the Integrated Insights team and work across UCB with Commercial, Medical, Advanced Analytics, RWE, Market Access, Patient Engagement, Competitive Intelligence, Regulatory, Legal, Compliance and Safety colleagues. You will partner with external agencies to generate actionable evidence and insights.

What you'll do

  • Build an integrated insights plan for mTLE across development, market preparation and launch readiness
  • Develop insight into the mTLE care and referral pathway
  • Explore high-involvement treatment decisions across patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals, payers and patient advocacy groups
  • Triangulate primary research with claims, referral, RWE, competitive intelligence and other healthcare data to generate decision-ready recommendations
  • Advise and constructively challenge stakeholders, align priorities across UCB and create shared ownership without relying on formal authority
  • Apply agile, test-and-learn approaches and approved AI or automation tools while preserving confidentiality, compliance, methodological rigor and human oversight
  • Lead external partners and ensure research follows global SOPs, governance requirements and pharmacovigilance obligations

Interested? For this role we're looking for the following

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum of 7+ years experience in market research, analytics or business intelligence within the pharmaceutical industry, an agency or a consultancy
  • Strong quantitative, qualitative and interpretative skills, with the ability to integrate structured and unstructured evidence and communicate data limitations and uncertainty
  • Experience reading and using healthcare data and partnering with advanced analytics specialists on integrated insight projects
  • Proven project leadership across multiple complex initiatives, including vendor management and compliant research execution
  • Strong stakeholder advisory, critical-thinking and influencing skills across functions, geographies and organizational boundaries
  • Clear storytelling for technical and non-technical audiences, with the ability to translate scientific and operational complexity into actionable commercial insight

Preferred requirements

  • Direct experience in cell therapy, gene therapy, regenerative medicine or another advanced therapy modality
  • Knowledge of epilepsy, drug-resistant mTLE, epilepsy surgery, neurostimulation, specialist-center pathways and referral dynamics
  • Experience supporting pipeline or early-stage assets in a scientifically complex environment with incomplete evidence and changing assumptions
  • Experience researching complex patient and caregiver decisions, center readiness, and behavioral or operational barriers to adoption
  • Proficiency in leveraging approved AI and automation tools to accelerate research, synthesis, and knowledge management, while exercising sound judgment, critical thinking, and appropriate human oversight to ensure reliable and actionable outputs

This position's reasonably anticipated base salary range is $148,000 - $195,000. The actual salary offered will take into account related knowledge, skills, experience and location among other factors and may fall outside the expected range.
