Application Development Lead - Facets

The Role

UST is searching for an experienced Application Development Lead - Facets with strong Healthcare IT expertise and hands-on experience with the TriZetto/Cognizant Facets platform.

What You'll Do

* Facets Application Development & Delivery

* Lead application development, enhancement, maintenance, and technical delivery for the Facets platform.

* Provide hands-on technical leadership across Membership, Claims, Workflow, and Accumulations modules.

* Design, develop, and support custom Facets extensions and configuration components.

* Participate in Facets upgrades, application modernization, vendor integrations, and data migration initiatives.

* Troubleshoot complex Facets application and integration issues and drive them through resolution.

* Database & Data Engineering

* Develop and optimize complex PL/SQL and SQL queries, stored procedures, and database scripts.

* Perform execution-plan analysis and performance tuning for complex queries.

* Develop and execute data correction scripts while maintaining application and data integrity.

* Work with Oracle and SQL Server databases supporting Facets applications and integrations.

* Develop and troubleshoot SSIS packages supporting Facets ETL and data migration pipelines.

* C#/.NET & Integration Development

* Debug and troubleshoot C#/.NET applications supporting the Facets ecosystem.

* Perform stack trace analysis and identify root causes of application errors.

* Troubleshoot Facets API and integration-layer issues.

* Design and support integrations between Facets and internal/external applications.

* Demonstrate prior hands-on implementation experience with real-time Facets API calls in at least two functional areas.

* Azure & Cloud Modernization

* Support migration of Facets-related applications and workloads to Microsoft Azure.

* Participate in lift-and-shift and application/data migration initiatives.

* Work with Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, and hybrid connectivity patterns.

* Collaborate with infrastructure, application, database, and architecture teams to deliver secure and scalable cloud migration solutions.

* Technical Leadership

* Provide technical guidance to developers and collaborate with architecture, QA, business, infrastructure, and support teams.

* Review application designs and technical solutions for quality, maintainability, performance, and alignment with delivery requirements.

* Support root-cause analysis and resolution of production issues.

* Drive technical delivery across development, testing, deployment, integration, and production-support activities.

* Promote an AI-first and cloud-first approach, identifying opportunities for automation and workflow optimization.

What You Need

* 5+ years of experience in Healthcare IT, with strong hands-on experience with the Facets platform.

* Strong experience across Facets modules including:

* Membership

* Claims

* Workflow

* Accumulations

* Strong hands-on experience with:

* PL/SQL

* Oracle

* SQL Server

* SSIS

* C#

* .NET

* Experience developing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, data-correction scripts, and performing execution-plan/performance tuning.

* Hands-on experience with Facets upgrades, vendor integrations, and data migrations.

* Experience designing and developing custom Facets extensions and configuration components.

* Strong SSIS development and troubleshooting experience for ETL/data migration pipelines.

* Experience debugging C#/.NET applications, including stack trace analysis and integration-layer troubleshooting.

* Experience implementing real-time Facets API calls in at least two functional areas.

* Strong understanding of Healthcare/Payer application ecosystems and data flows.

* Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud migration and modernization.

* Hands-on exposure to:

* Azure SQL

* Azure Data Factory

* Lift-and-shift migrations

* Hybrid connectivity

* Experience with automation and workflow optimization.

* Exposure to AI-enabled application development or automation solutions.

* Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and root-cause-analysis skills.

* Ability to provide technical leadership across distributed development and support teams.

Location & Compensation

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Role Location: Seattle, Washington

Compensation Range: $75,000-$113,000

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty.
