Position Summary

Assigned to assist with direction, support, regulatory requirements, and education of communities for overall culinary experience and responsible for making recommendations and communicating clearly with community leadership.

Compensation Range: $51,790 - $91,310 annual salary

Schedule: Monday thru Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm

Position Functions and Responsibilities



  • Help lead and inspire culinary team at the community under the direction of the Culinary Operations Manager.
  • Oversee daily operations of the culinary department and ensure they are following and meeting expectations
  • Manage changes in menus and education needs as directed by the Culinary Operations Manager.
  • Review and adhere to departmental policies.
  • Oversee the production and service of food and participate as needed.
  • Orientate, train, counsel, and discipline culinary employees as needed
  • Oversee work performance of culinary employees.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance/Improvement meetings as needed.
  • Make daily contact with the communities/region that falls under your support.
  • Complete documentation as needed.
  • Must be adaptable, flexible to changes, and able to prioritize and organize work efficiently to accomplish workload within time allotted.
  • Maintains positive relationships with key stakeholders such as residents, their families, staff, and the community.
  • Maintain a positive attitude in relation to customer service programs.
  • Abides by the facility's policies, procedures and practices.
  • Participates in and supports Quality efforts throughout the company.
  • Attend meetings and mandatory services.
  • Knowledge and adherence to safety/disaster preparedness plan.
  • All other duties as needed.



Qualifications

Experience and Education



  • Must have a current Serve Safe Certification (or acquired within first month of employment)
  • Minimum of one year experience in culinary field preferred.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities



  • Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with community leadership and employees
  • Must have reliable means of transportation
  • Must have proficient knowledge of computer systems, including email use.
  • Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.
  • Clear understanding that all injuries/accidents must be reported to a supervisor immediately.
  • Must meet all local health regulations and pass post-employment physical exams if required. This requirement also includes drug screening, criminal background investigation, and reference inquiry.
  • Must be capable of performing the Essential Job Functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
