Driving repair excellence through expertise, standardization, and continuous improvement.

The purpose of the Local After Market Services Expert is to implement repair standard instructions (RSI) within the local Tool Services Center, train team members, and coordinate engineering topics with RAMSE and global team. This position works with one Tool Services Center (TSC) Manager, technicians, coordinators, and Customer Tool Services (CTS) to sustain process execution resulting in superior repair quality, higher efficiency, productivity and ultimately better service to our repair customers.


What You'll do
  • This position is not eligible for employer-sponsored work authorization or visa sponsorship (including initial, transfer, or extension), and candidates must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and remain authorized for the duration of employment without the need for sponsorship.
  • Monitor adherence to repair standards and determine necessary actions with affected departments.
  • Enhance competency of technicians by providing them with upskilling training for respective tool types.
  • Ensure readiness of Tool Services Center for launch of new product with knowledge transfer on infrastructure setup, know-how and cost benefit analysis.
  • Ensure optimal levels of quality are reached as per the defined targets.
  • Support tool service center managers in spare-parts, special tool and auxiliary material planning.
  • Ensure all test equipment is up-to-date and in good status.
  • Identify product quality issues and work with Regional AMS Engineer (RAMSE) to improve product quality through M158 Complaints.
  • Work with processes regarding complaints about the quality of repairs, application and use of the tool by the client via training.
  • Be responsible for performing repair modifications in the service area in consultation with the local service area team.
  • Coordinate with the regional repair expert to maintain quality and global standards.
  • Coordinate the actions of the service region and the global team regarding the repairs of tools that are removed from service support.
  • Maintain the necessary level of knowledge, skills and professional skills required for the position; actively participate in all seminars, training courses and events to improve knowledge, skills, professional skills and experience exchange organized by the Company; regularly and independently receive the information necessary to ensure the appropriate level of qualification.
  • Support end-of-the-end repair service process within the Hilti North America (HNA) service area based on global standards (GPMS).
  • Responsible for execution of selected VIP services related to tool service.
  • Support the continual execution of LEAN management in the Tool Service Centers.
  • Identify, align, and drive implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within the end-to-end repair process.
  • Maintain customer experience by performing quality checks and Tool Service Center assessments with recommended corrective actions through the direction of the RAMSE.
  • Repair tools and ensures best repair quality at economical costs and optimal efficiency.
  • Additional duties, as assigned.

What You'll Bring
  • High School Diploma or GED, required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) years' experience of production or operational work experience required.
  • High level of organizational, detail, and process-oriented skill set.
  • Experience with Lean concepts, preferred. (lean explorer).
  • Proficiency using Windows applications (i.e.: Excel, etc.) and SAP, required.
