Your Next Opportunity: As Manager, Field Payroll, you lead the accurate and timely payment of wages for our skilled craftspeople across Rosendin's diverse electrical construction projects. Your expertise ensures strict compliance with federal, state, local, and union collective bargaining agreements, directly contributing to employee satisfaction and the seamless operation of our projects nationwide. This role is fundamental to upholding our commitment to our employee-owners and reinforcing Rosendin's financial integrity.
What You'll Do:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Field Payroll Specialists, fostering a culture of accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the end-to-end processing of complex, multi-state, and multi-union field payroll, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement of wages and benefits.
- Ensure strict adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local labor laws, prevailing wage regulations, and collective bargaining agreements.
- Manage and optimize the integration of timekeeping systems with Workday, verifying data integrity and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Field Superintendents, Human Resources, and Project Controls to address payroll-related inquiries and ensure alignment on project staffing and cost coding.
- Conduct internal payroll audits and support external audits, providing necessary documentation and analysis.
- Identify, recommend, and implement improvements to payroll processes, policies, and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Analyze and resolve complex payroll issues, tax discrepancies, and employee inquiries, providing clear and accurate explanations.
- Prepare comprehensive payroll reports for management, accounting, and compliance purposes, including certified payroll.
- Stay current with changes in payroll legislation, tax codes, and union contract provisions relevant to the electrical construction industry.
What You'll Need to Be Successful:
- Proficiency in large-scale enterprise payroll software, ideally Workday, and construction-specific timekeeping systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex labor laws, union contracts, and resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all aspects of payroll processing and reporting.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with the ability to manage, train, and motivate a high-performing team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with all levels of the organization, from field personnel to executive leadership.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work effectively under pressure, and meet strict deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and exercising sound judgment in handling sensitive employee information.
- A proactive approach to identifying process improvements and adapting to evolving regulatory requirements.

- Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, and occasionally lift up to 20 pounds, supporting typical office and light travel requirements.
