Operations Performance Analyst Location: Syracuse, NY Pay: $41.00 per hour 26-10791 Job Summary The Operations Performance Analyst develops data-driven tools, analytics, and processes that improve manufacturing performance across the operational network. This role analyzes capacity, production, service, backlog, schedule attainment, and supply chain data to identify constraints, improve resource utilization, and support operational decision-making. The position partners with plant leadership, Operations, Materials Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, and Continuous Improvement teams to translate complex data into actionable recommendations and measurable business results. Job Responsibilities
- Develop analytical tools and models to evaluate manufacturing capacity, bottlenecks, constraints, throughput, and resource utilization.
- Establish standardized methodologies for setting realistic production targets based on labor, equipment, material availability, and operational constraints.
- Develop and maintain capacity plans aligned with customer demand and business objectives.
- Analyze demand, production, inventory, and order fulfillment data to identify root causes affecting customer service and delivery performance.
- Develop reporting and performance management tools to improve service levels, reduce backlog, and support recovery efforts.
- Monitor operational KPIs and provide data-driven recommendations to improve on-time delivery, schedule attainment, backlog, and production execution.
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and data visualization tools using Power BI and other reporting platforms.
- Automate manual reporting processes and improve access to operational data.
- Develop standardized operational metrics and performance measurement systems across manufacturing locations.
- Create predictive and statistical models to support capacity planning, production planning, schedule attainment, and operational decision-making.
- Support the integration and use of SAP data within reporting and analytical tools.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and governance of operational data sources.
- Apply statistical analysis to identify trends, variation, constraints, and improvement opportunities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives through data collection, analysis, performance measurement, and follow-up tracking.
- Translate complex operational data into clear insights and recommendations for plant and operations leadership.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Materials Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, and Continuous Improvement teams.
- Support a culture of accountability, operational discipline, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement.
- Manage special projects and other operations analytics and performance improvement initiatives as assigned.
Job Requirements
- 1-5 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, supply chain, business analytics, data analytics, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex operational data and identify practical improvement opportunities.
- Experience with capacity analysis, constraints analysis, throughput evaluation, production planning, or operational performance improvement.
- Strong statistical analysis skills, including trend, variation, and process capability analysis.
- Advanced experience with Power BI and data visualization is preferred.
- Advanced SAP experience, including extraction and analysis of manufacturing and operational data, is preferred.
- Experience with SQL, Microsoft Excel, and other business intelligence tools is preferred.
- Experience with Minitab or equivalent statistical analysis software is preferred.
- Knowledge of production planning, capacity planning, inventory management, service metrics, schedule attainment, and backlog management.
- Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis and performance measurement.
- Strong data management and data quality skills.
- Ability to create clear dashboards, scorecards, and visual reporting tools for leadership.
- Strong data storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex information into actionable insights.
- Strong root cause analysis and continuous improvement capabilities.
- Strong business acumen and ability to connect operational performance with customer service, inventory, and financial impact.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Education
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
Work Experience
- 1-5 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, supply chain, business analytics, data analytics, or a related discipline.
- Manufacturing operations analytics or performance improvement experience is preferred.
- Experience partnering with plant leadership, Operations, Materials Management, and Supply Chain teams is preferred.
