YesOverview The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies. This role oversees month-end and year-end close activities, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and audit support while helping strengthen accounting processes, controls, and overall financial accuracy.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Manage and overseethe preparation andmaintenance of financialrecords in accordancewithU.S. GAAPand company accountingpolicies. * Perform month-endand year-endclose activities, includingjournal entries, accountreconciliations, accruals, and adjustments. * Prepare and reviewmonthly, quarterly, andannual financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliancewith GAAP. * Analyze general ledgeraccounts and investigatevariances, discrepancies, and unusual transactions. * Ensure proper revenuerecognition, expense classification, accrual accounting, andaccount presentation inaccordance with GAAP. Research and evaluate accounting issues and transactions to ensure appropriate treatment under U.S. GAAP and Company accounting policies, escalating complex or unusual matters as appropriate. * Monitor accounting processesand internal controlsto ensure compliancewith company policiesand applicable accountingstandards. * Reviewfinancial data foraccuracy and identifyopportunities to improveaccounting processes andcontrols. * Maintain detailed andorganized accounting documentationto support financialreporting and auditrequirements. * Preparesupportingschedules and documentationfor internal andexternal audits. * Coordinate with auditorsand provide requestedfinancial records, reconciliations, and explanations. * Collaborate with finance, operations, andother departments toresolve accounting issuesand ensure accuratefinancial reporting. * Provide oversight and guidance to Accounts Payable personnel to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant processing of invoices and payments. * Review Accounts Payable activities, reconciliations, and aging reports to ensure accuracy, proper documentation, and timely resolution of outstanding items. * Coordinate with external tax preparers by providing accurate financial information, schedules, and supporting documentation required for the preparation of tax returns; track tax filing deadlines and ensure required tax payments are made timely. * Assist with the review, distribution, and tracking of K-1s and other tax-related documents, including auditing for accuracy and resolving discrepancies as needed. * Resolve tax and agency notices. * Work directly with the broader Corporate Accounting and Finance team on ad hoc projects and special assignments. * Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications and Skills Education and Experience * Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field. * Five or more years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment. * Proficiency with the standard suite of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. * Previous hospitality or hotel management company experience preferred. Working knowledge of Oracle is a plus. GAAP Requirements * Strong knowledge and practical application of U.S. GAAP and accounting principles. * Demonstrated experience applying U.S. GAAP to financial reporting, account analysis, reconciliations, and month-end and year-end close activities. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * High degree of integrity and professionalism required. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong organizational and time management skills. * Ability to manage confidential and sensitive financial information. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. * Ability to prioritize departmental functions to meet due dates and deadlines.
