Find your calling at Mercy! Identify needs of all departments related to infection prevention. Develop policies/guidelines, dev./implement educ. programs to meet needs of all depts/community agencies. Advisor to all personnel on infection prevention, including isolation, policy/procedure development, infectious disease exposure, and educ. needs. Keep current on all related fed/state/local requirements and regulatory bodies.

Disseminate and analyze data for program advancement and prevention of infections. Initiate programs to expand capability to meet special projects/studies. Initiate studies/conduct investigations for research projects or QA programs. Assist other depts in the facility in conducting research projects.

Develop budget, oversee operations of the dept/staff. Assist other members of the Dept as needed. Position Details:

As an integral member of the Mercy Jefferson leadership team, the Infection Prevention Manager partners with hospital leaders, providers, and multidisciplinary teams to advance a culture of safety through the prevention, surveillance, and control of Healthcare-Associated infections and communicable diseases. This role provides strategic leadership for the infection prevention program, driving quality improvement initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting evidence-based practices that protect patients, caregivers, and visitors while enhancing overall clinical outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's of science in clinical healthcare or health sciences related field (e.g., nursing, lab sciences, public health or related field).
Experience: Five years' experience required in Infection Prevention.
Certifications: Certification in Infection Control required.

Preferred Education: Master's degree preferred.
