With fabrication and assembly facilities in Egan and Crowley, Louisiana, and Houston, Texas, we serve customers across the U.S. Job Summary Exco Industrial is seeking a Product Design Engineer to lead the design, development, and manufacturing launch of innovative products. Job Responsibilities Design and develop mechanical products and assemblies using SolidWorks. Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation. Apply GD&T principles and engineering standards to ensure product quality and manufacturability. Perform engineering analysis, including FEA simulations, to validate designs and optimize performance. Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and product documentation within PLM systems. Prepare RFQ packages, engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for suppliers. Drive value engineering initiatives to reduce costs and improve manufacturing efficiency. Support new product introductions and continuous improvement efforts throughout the product lifecycle. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. Proficiency with SolidWorks for 3D modeling, assemblies, and drawing creation. Experience with GD&T and manufacturing print interpretation. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and design-for-manufacturability principles. Experience creating and managing BOMs and engineering documentation. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities. Essential Job Function Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using SolidWorks Simulation or similar tools. Experience working with suppliers, sourcing teams, and contract manufacturers. Familiarity with PLM systems and product lifecycle management processes. Background in industrial, consumer, or high-volume manufactured products. Experience with value engineering and cost-reduction projects.
