Staff Accountant - Online Gaming

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting:
* Prepare and enter daily, weekly, and monthly journal entries using an Oracle
platform.
* Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
* Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank accounts, and gaming platform
transactions.
* Maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with GAAP and company
policies.
* Support preparation of financial statements and management reports.
* Recommend process improvements to enhance accuracy and eiciency
* Review payment processor settlements and merchant statements.

Gaming Revenue & Player Account Reconciliations:
* Reconcile gaming revenue, player balances, bonuses, and promotional activity.
* Verify wagering, deposits, withdrawals, chargebacks, and payment processor
activity.
* Investigate and resolve discrepancies between gaming systems and accounting
records.
* Monitor player funds and segregated account balances where required by
regulations.

Compliance & Regulatory Reporting:
* Assist in preparing reports required by state gaming regulators and auditors.
* Ensure compliance with gaming regulations, internal controls, and company
policies.
* Maintain supporting documentation for regulatory reviews and external audits.
* Support SOX and internal control compliance initiatives when applicable.

Qualifications

Education:
* Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required.

Experience:
* 2-3 years of accounting experience required.
* Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.

Technical Skills:
* Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and Power Query.
* Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft
Dynamics).
* Ability to analyze large volumes of transactional data.
* Experience with reconciliation and reporting tools preferred.

Knowledge & Competencies:
* Understanding of gaming operations, player wallets, and payment processing
preferred.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* High level of integrity and confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in regulated gaming, casino, or sportsbook environments.
* Familiarity with gaming platforms and regulatory reporting requirements.
* Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, or data analysis tools is a plus.

* Timely completion of monthly close activities.
* Accuracy of account reconciliations.
* Regulatory filing compliance.
* Audit findings and resolution timelines.
* Quality and timeliness of financial reporting.

Target Salary (U.S. market):

$60,000 annually, depending on location, experience, and gaming
industry expertise.
