What to Expect

GESNA is seeking a highly driven, results-oriented Quality & HSE Manager to lead the Quality Management System (QMS) and Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) functions for our Houston manufacturing and service operations.

This role requires a proven leader with extensive experience in API Q1 quality systems and a strong understanding of the oil and gas industry. Experience supporting API 7K and API 16C licensed products is highly preferred. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of delivering measurable business results, successfully leading audits, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and developing teams while maintaining a strong hands-on presence in daily operations.

This is not strictly a desk-based management role. The Quality & HSE Manager must be willing to roll up their sleeves, work alongside their team, participate in inspections, audits, investigations, corrective actions, and problem-solving efforts, and lead by example on the shop floor.

While reporting directly to the Sr. Operations Manager, the Quality & HSE Manager will maintain close alignment with regional and global Quality and HSE leadership through regular performance reviews, KPI reporting, and participation in recurring business reviews. The role is responsible for providing monthly updates on quality, safety, environmental, compliance, audit, and continuous improvement performance while ensuring local initiatives remain aligned with broader organizational objectives.

Keys Responsibilities (to name a few)

  • Serve as Management Representative and owner of the GESNA Quality Management System.
  • Maintain compliance with API Q1, and applicable customer, regulatory, and corporate requirements.

  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities using structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Maintain document control, risk assessments, management review processes, internal audits, and supplier qualification programs.
  • Partner with Operations, Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain to improve quality performance and operational efficiency.
  • Lead and promote a strong culture of safety throughout the facility.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and corporate HSE requirements.
  • Manage incident investigations, near miss reporting, corrective actions, and risk assessments.
  • Maintain emergency response, safety training, and compliance reporting programs.
  • Conduct routine facility safety audits and inspections.
  • Develop and implement programs to reduce workplace risk and continuously improve safety performance.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Safety, Business, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum 8+ years of quality leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 3+ years leading people and developing teams.
  • Strong working knowledge of API Q1 requirements.
  • Prior experience in the oil & gas industry.
  • Direct experience with API 7K and API 16C products and monograming requirement preferred.
  • API Q1 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor certification preferred.
