Mercy Hospital Ada is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Surgical team. Whether you're an experienced RN or a recent nursing graduate, this role offers an excellent opportunity to build confidence, strengthen clinical judgment, and develop essential nursing skills while caring for a diverse patient population in an acute care setting.

You'll work alongside a collaborative team of nurses, physicians, and healthcare professionals committed to delivering exceptional patient care while supporting your professional growth and success.

The RN utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care, maintains professional accountability for assigned patients, evaluates the effectiveness of care provided by other caregivers, coordinates care across departments, and ensures patient rights and confidentiality are maintained at all times.

• Provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes appropriately
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Ensure patient rights, safety, and confidentiality are maintained
• Delegate and evaluate care provided by other direct caregivers
• Educate patients and families regarding treatments and care plans

• Build a strong foundation in assessment, medication administration, and patient care
• Develop critical thinking and time-management skills that transfer to any nursing specialty
• Care for patients with a wide variety of diagnoses and conditions
• Gain valuable acute care experience early in your nursing career
• Work alongside experienced nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
• Create a pathway for future advancement into specialty nursing roles

Enjoy a schedule of three 12-hour night shifts per week, providing flexibility and four days off each week to focus on family, school, personal interests, or work-life balance. Night shift team members also receive shift differential pay in addition to their regular earnings.

Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program (Associate Degree, Diploma, or BSN).

Licensure: Must obtain and maintain a current RN license in the state of practice and/or compact licensure as required and meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certifications: Completion of hospital-required nursing competencies, mandatory education requirements, and relevant certifications (BLS, etc.) within required timeframes.
