Description

Responsible for decontamination, cleaning, processing and sterilizing of re-usable instruments and trays used hospital-wide. Pulls instruments and supplies for OR case carts. Demonstrates a clear understanding of decontamination procedures and risk of cross contamination, aseptic technique, sterilization methods and sterility assurance. Is aware of the importance of strict attention to detail in all areas including but not limited to the functionality of all instrumentation.

Required Qualifications:



  • National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association within 1 year of hire. Or
  • National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution within 1 year of hire.
  • 1 year of SPD or surgical scrub tech experience.
  • Experience in related field.
