Moffatt & Nichol is actively searching for a senior engineer or planner to lead and manage offshore wind studies and offshore wind port infrastructure development projects on the US West Coast. The ideal candidate will have background experience as a civil, structural, or coastal engineer with experience in port infrastructure projects and strong interest or experience in the offshore wind industry. Alternatively, the candidate will have experience working with developers and port infrastructure owners to plan and/or operate ports, preferably in the offshore wind market. This position will be client facing and will include project management, task management, and business development responsibilities. This position will be responsible to lead engineering, planning, design, and analysis activities for waterfront, port and maritime infrastructure projects. This position may be seated at any of our west coast offices including: San Diego, Costa Mesa, Long Beach, Oakland, or Walnut Creek, CA; Federal Way or Seattle, WA. We are currently leading significant OSW studies for the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM), the State of California, and other federal, state, and private agencies. In addition, Moffatt & Nichol is engaged as the engineer of record and prime consultant to lead the planning, permitting, and engineering to redevelop an existing 168-acre site at the Port of Humboldt to serve the OSW industry. Base salary range: $104,408 to $173,612 based on years of experience, level of education obtained, professional registration, and meeting required qualification in job description. Base salary range only applicable for candidates who will be hired and working in the California or Washington markets. Physical requirements: Majority of work is office based. Some site visits may be required which may necessitate navigating unpaved or natural terrain while carrying equipment.
