POSITION SUMMARY AND LOCATION This position with Troubleshoot, inspect, and repair manufacturing equipment used to make and deliver umbilicals used in oil and gas operations. Some tasks may include installing power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as extruders, conveyors, and programmable controllers. The person in this role will be expected to diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors and lighting fixtures and replace damaged or broken wires and cables. In addition, machine set-up. Operation and tear-down of equipment used to manufacture and assemble subsea umbilicals will also be part of this role. Duties & Responsibilities
* Operate, set up and tear down production machinery in accordance with established procedures and guidelines under immediate supervision of a certified operator used in manufacture and assembly of subsea umbilicals.. Qualifications
REQUIRED * Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures that apply to a manufacturing environment. DESIRED * High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS * Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics. WORKING CONDITIONS This position is considered SHOP WORK which is characterized as follows. * Primarily indoors during the day and occasionally at night.
