Summer 2024, Fall 2024, Spring 2025 Application Window Open date: March 28, 2024 Most recent review date: Monday, Dec 23, 2024 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Friday, Mar 28, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The School of Engineering anticipates hiring multiple Readers in the following disciplines in the 2024-2025 Academic Year (Summer 2024, Fall 2024, Spring 2025): Bioengineering Please indicate in your cover letter which course(s) you are interested in being a Reader for. The Reader will be responsible for grading homework, quizzes, exams as needed under the supervisor of the instructor. The position will require up to a maximum of 18 hours per week. The University of California Readers are represented by the UAW-AFL-CIO. Qualifications Basic qualifications
The Reader will be in good standing at UC Merced and have successfully completed course or related course he/she is appointed to as a Reader with a grade of "B" or better, as well as a 3.0 overall grade point average (gpa). Readers will usually be graduate students; but qualified undergraduate students may be employed, especially when graduate students are not available. Professional readers, not enrolled as students, may be employed to meet special needs, but only on an hourly basis. Application Requirements Document requirements
