Position Type:Permanent Full Time/Part Time:Full Time

$3,497.95 to $3,847.75 biweekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Performs experienced professional work in transportation engineering reviewing and analyzing traffic impact studies in order to provide information to assist with making development and permitting decisions and assisting in the development of transportation improvement projects and researching and identifying funding sources for traffic operations projects.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a closely related field PLUS four (4) years of transportation and/or traffic engineering experience, and includes transportation modeling and analysis software, including VISSIM, SYNCRHO, Highway Capacity Software (HCS), Florida Standard Urban Transportation Model Structure (FSUTMS)/Central Florida Regional Planning Model (CFRPM), or other similar software application experience. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida Driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. Must possess a current Florida Board of Professional Engineers (FBPE) certification as an Engineer Intern (EI) or Engineer in Training (EIT). Registration as a State of Florida Professional Engineer (PE), in accordance with Florida Statute 471, is preferred. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
