We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Chicago for a Director, VeriCre on our Health Solutions team. This is a hybrid position reporting into our Chicago, IL office, requiring 2 days a week in the office.

As a Director, VeriCre, you will lead
and oversee the strategy and expansion of the Credentialing Product Portfolio
(CPP), including the launch of the newest Credentialing Portfolio Product,
VeriCre. Manage product development and
delivery, business development and the marketing strategy of CPP. Oversee operation and communications. Acting as General Manager, the Director,
VeriCre will lead a cross-functional team of both direct and indirect reports
to achieve shared goals and success for the product line.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Credentialing Product Portfolio Strategy (CPP)

  • Lead implementation and evolution of the strategy, including the go-to market strategy, for the credentialing product portfolio to ensure its long-term relevancy and viability in support of AMA's mission.
  • Ensure the product strategy and delivery meet and strive to exceed the expectations of the marketplace, maximize contribution margin, and support AMA strategic initiative
  • Provide thought and industry leadership on physician data and credentialing through active participation in public forums, conferences and other industry events.
  • Manage full and successful launch of VeriCre and champion in the industry.
  • Establish and manage multi-year roadmaps for the CPP portfolio.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders, including accrediting bodies, to advance the portfolio.
  • Identify, secure, and manage collaborators that accelerate time to market and contribute to the overall success of the portfolio.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends focusing on opportunities or potential threats to the business.

Credentialing Product Portfolio (CPP) Operations oversight

  • Plan and direct the operations of the CPP including financial responsibilities, key stakeholders and operational resources across the AMA.
  • Oversee development and engineering activity in conjunction with HS engineering team to facilitate timely delivery of quality products.
  • Oversee business operations and collaboration with the Unified Service Center to establish and maintain exceptional service for physicians, customers, and collaborators.
  • Collaborate with others in the AMA to advance credentialing initiatives.
  • Lead customer success and service initiatives to establish strong customer engagement throughout the product life cycle and maintain an active customer and thought leader community.

Staff management

  • Lead, manage, and motivate a high-performing team, leading all aspects of key talent retention, skills development, and performance management.
  • Analyze capacity and align resources with goals.
  • Establish processes to optimize involvement and performance of indirect team members that are key resources.

May include other responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Bachelor's degree in business, economics, health care administration, or related field required, an advanced degree in a related field or business (MBA) preferred.

2. At least 12 years of business, product development and management experience with a minimum of 10 years of proven health care-focused experience, preferably in credentialing or provider data management.

3. Minimum 10 years of people management experience; ability to grow and mentor a team.

4. Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and enterprise-wide programs, operating and influencing effectively across matrixed environments.

5. Strong leadership and communication skills including vision-setting, goal setting, with the ability to build and execute a road map.

6. Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills; able to quickly establish credibility with a broad set of senior executives, external stakeholders and staff.

7. Strong quantitative and analysis skills aligned with a demonstrated ability to work with ambiguous evidence and adapt effectively to changing circumstances.

8. Proven experience in developing and implementing strategic plans and converting strategy into actionable initiatives.

9. Proven ability to develop, manage, and achieve financial plans.
