Nature of Work The Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Colorado School Of Medicine is seeking applicants at the Assistant Professor level for an Infectious Disease Clinician-Investigator or Clinician-Educator position. This position would be based in the University of Colorado Hospital Infectious Disease Group Practice (IDGP) and its HIV/AIDS Clinical Program, and the Division of Infectious Diseases. The position would involve direct HIV patient care in the practice as well as involvement with other infectious disease-related care, including attending on the inpatient ID consult service. The IDGP is composed of a busy primary HIV practice consisting of 1800 patients of diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds, as well as an active ID consultative service for long-term IV antibiotics, travel-related illnesses and general infectious disease problems. Clinical responsibilities include approximately 4-5 clinic sessions per week and 10-14 weeks per year of attending on the inpatient infectious disease consult service. As a member of the Infectious Disease Division, the applicant will also have opportunities to participate in teaching and research activities in the division. Supervision Received The clinician educator or clinician investigator reports to the Division Head of Infectious Diseases, Edward Stenehjem. Supervision Exercised The clinician educator or clinician investigator will not supervise other employees. Salary and Benefits The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $160,000 - $300,000. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. Minimum Qualifications Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications Experience in basic, translational or clinical research. Experience in caring for people living with HIV.
