Job Summary:



The Department of Radiology at University of Colorado School of Medicine on the Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking applicants for Section Chief of Neuroradiology. This is a full-time position at the Associate Professor or Professor level.

The individual will lead an outstanding academic neuroradiology section comprised of 10 faculty, 1 APP, and 5 ACGME Neuroradiology fellows. The candidate will oversee the clinical, educational, and research missions of the section. The candidate should have a national reputation in the field of Neuroradiology and will be responsible for providing leadership, mentorship, and vision for academic excellence.

University of Colorado Hospital - Anschutz Medical Campus is a tertiary care referral center for complex neurological, neurosurgical, and psychiatric disease for the Rocky Mountain Region. The neuroradiology section provides state of the art diagnostic imaging for Neuro-oncology, Stroke, Head & Neck, Multiple Sclerosis, Neurodegenerative disease, trauma. We have one of the few nationally recognized CSF Leak Programs in the country. UCH is a Level 1 Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center. The section plays an active role in quality, safety, and education initiatives.

Resources include dedicated 3D technologists for advanced fMRI/DTI, MR guided High intensity frequency ultrasound, intraOp 3T, 4 research-dedicated scanners (PET-CT, two 3T MR, PET-MR), cyclotron, and GMP radiopharmaceutical production facility, full spectrum of small animal imaging equipment, clinical research administrative team. Faculty have strong research collaborations with Neurology, Psychiatry, and Neurosurgery.

Applicants must be ABR certified in Diagnostic Radiology, fellowship-trained and CAQ certified in Neuroradiology.

This role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, Colorado.

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Associate Professor or Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below:

Associate Professor



  • Medical Degree or equivalent
  • Colorado Medical License at time of hire
  • Board certification in radiology.
  • Mid-career associate rank.


Professor



  • Medical Degree or equivalent.
  • Colorado Medical License at time of hire.
  • Board certification in radiology.
  • Mid-career full professor rank.


Preferred Qualifications (both ranks):



  • The individual would have a proven interest in neuroradiology with an interest in being part of an academic group would be preferred.

Anticipated Pay Range:



The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

Associate Professor- $430,000 - $480,000

Professor- $430,000 - $480,000

Faculty are eligible for bonuses.

Salaries are based on years of experience and are equal across all academic ranks. Academic rank will be determined during the interview process after discussion between the candidate and the department about previous experience.

The salaries listed above include the $10,000 stipend to perform the duties of Chief of Neuroradiology.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, research, specialty and training.

The above salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
