Job Summary:



The Department of Radiology at the Children's Hospital Colorado, University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, has three openings for full-time nighthawk pediatric radiologists to provide afterhours finalized imaging interpretations.

Excellent time off! Schedule is 7-nights on and 14 days/nights off (total 17 weeks of night shifts and 34 weeks of vacation per year). The position is local in the Denver metro area, or at our Colorado Springs location, both with easy access to all the beauty that Colorado has to offer.

Interested candidates should be competent and comfortable interpreting the range of emergent cases to be expected at a tertiary care and Level 1 trauma center, including neuro and body/trauma CTA, transplant imaging as well as performing emergent pediatric fluoroscopy procedures.

This is an opportunity to join a progressive and vibrant department and institution on a modern state-of-the-art medical campus. We are open to candidates at Clinical Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and full-Professor levels.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Each person will provide one week at a time of in-person night coverage at Children's Hospital, Colorado, and remote coverage to their network of care from 10 pm to 7 am.
  • Interpretation of all imaging studies including radiographs, US, CT, MRI and performing emergency fluoroscopy examinations.

Qualifications:



Minimum Qualifications (All Ranks):

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.



  • Medical Degree or equivalent
  • Colorado Medical License by time of hire
  • ABR or AOBR Certification or eligible by time of hire
  • Completed subspecialty fellowship by time of hire
  • Must be Certificate of added Qualification in Pediatric Radiology (CAQ) qualified or eligible (All ranks)


Preferred Qualifications (All Ranks)



  • Competency is required in the interpretation of pediatric radiologic exams performed in the emergency and acute-care inpatient settings The individual would enjoy reading challenging cases in an environment that supports clinical research.

Anticipated Pay Range:



The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

Senior Instructor: $350,000 - $402,000

Assistant Professor: $403,000 to $443,000

Associate Professor: $444,000 to $451,000

Professor: $452,000 to $498,000

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
