Job Summary:



The Department of Dermatology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado is seeking to recruit a fellowship-trained cosmetic dermatologist (part-time or full-time) to enhance clinical services.

Our department serves a diverse population within the greater Denver area, while also drawing patients from throughout Colorado and a five-state, 500-mile referral radius. Our providers work closely with colleagues across the system to achieve the best outcome for our patients.

The ideal candidate should have a passion for excellent dermatologic care delivery, teaching, and scholarly endeavors and a willingness to innovate around cosmetic dermatology to develop a new facet of the department. The Director will have the unique opportunity to shape cosmetic dermatology at CU. Key Responsibilities:



  • Board-certified or board-eligible dermatologist with formal training on cosmetic dermatology to see patients in our University of Colorado Hospital clinical practice.
  • Ability to develop cutting-edge cosmetic dermatology program de novo that incorporates novel treatments.
  • Interest in clinical innovations, including clinical trials, to test new devices and technologies.
  • Willingness to teach and assess trainees (including medical students, residents, and post-doctoral fellows) cosmetic dermatology procedures.
  • Ability to care for patients in multiple communities, including the university campus, and urban and suburban locations - all with a strong referral base.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below:

Assistant Professor



  • MD degree and 0-4 years of experience
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Dermatology
  • Eligibility for licensure to practice medicine in the state of Colorado
  • Fellowship training in cosmetic dermatology (or substitute years of work experience in cosmetic dermatology)


Associate Professor



  • MD degree and 4 + years of experience
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Dermatology
  • Eligibility for licensure to practice medicine in the state of Colorado
  • Fellowship training in cosmetic dermatology (or substitute years of work experience in cosmetic dermatology)


Professor



  • MD degree and 7 + years of experience
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Dermatology
  • Eligibility for licensure to practice medicine in the state of Colorado
  • Fellowship training in cosmetic dermatology (or substitute years of work experience in cosmetic dermatology)


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience in academic medicine

Compensation:



The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

We note that the starting salary ranges below reflect the base (fixed) salary ranges in alignment with AAMC Benchmarks by each rank (~50th percentile AAMC). Faculty total compensation, which is variable based on production and academic output, is based on actual ranges per rank of CU Dermatology faculty.

Assistant Professor: minimum $259,719 and maximum $261,756 (with productivity-based incentive up to maximum $503,00) \*Salary based on 1.0 FTE

Associate Professor: minimum $282,001 and maximum $284,038 (with productivity-based incentive up to maximum $503,00). \*Salary based on 1.0 FTE

Professor: minimum $302,074 and maximum $304,111 (with productivity-based incentive up to maximum $503,00). \*Salary based on 1.0 FTE

The above compensation range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
