Description Summary: Ability to operate entire palletization system, including operation of forklift. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned 1. Responsible for all equipment and its efficient operation by working directly with all departments. 2. Need to be flexible, covering 2nd & 3rd shifts. 3. Must also perform shipping and receiving functions as well as computer transactions daily. 4. Performs pre-shift operational inspection to determine the condition of all palletization equipment. 5. Monitors all cells to ensure proper operation and efficiency. 6. Performs product changeover(s) as needed. 7. Performs minor repairs necessary to keep equipment running without causing downtime. 8. Maintains an open line of communication with each packaging department and supervision. 9. Continuously monitors for proper product packaging and labeling. 10. Keeps work area neat and clean. 11. Schedules and performs periodic maintenance on machinery. 12. Coordinates with the maintenance staff any necessary future repairs or major repairs, including making out work orders to be completed when machine is down. 13. Acquires any necessary schooling in areas in which you are not knowledgeable. Lactalis is an equal employment opportunity employer. Requirements Qualifications: * Previous food manufacturing experience preferred. * High-speed packaging experience required. * Previous forklift experience required (PIT). * Must be mechanically inclined. * Valid NYS Driver's License a must. * AS400-Prism knowledge a plus. Education and/or Experience: * High School Diploma/GED. |
