Laboratory Technician I - Veterinary Diagnostics

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and analyze veterinary patient samples
  • Operate high-throughput laboratory equipment
  • Perform microscopy including urinalysis, hematology, and parasite identification
  • Collaborate with team members to solve problems and meet growth demands
  • Utilize Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and interface with various technologies
  • Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment
  • Ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials in compliance with safety regulations
  • Stock and manage laboratory supplies and inventory
  • Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment
  • Adhere to all safety and quality protocols
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training programs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or veterinary laboratory setting
  • Proficiency in hematology, coagulation, chemistry, immunoassay, and urinalysis
  • Experience with at least one of the following systems (or similar): Siemens Advia, Siemens Immulite, Beckman AU, or Novus.
  • Strong IT skills and comfort with computer systems such as LIS or LIMS
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Robust organizational and time management abilities

Schedules:

AM Shift: 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM

Swing Shift: 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM

Night Shift: 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Location:
Phoenix, AZ (on-site work, no remote options).
