Join our Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota (LSS) Meals team as a part-time site coordinator working from 9 a.m.-Noon, Monday through Friday. This position serves at Community Dining Center locations, offering people well-balanced, great tasting and affordable meals in a friendly community atmosphere. Plus, this person will package home-delivered meals for our LSS Meals on Wheels service.

The site coordinator will represent LSS as the provider of LSS Meals by serving as the first point of contact for customer relations, following up on concerns, and creating a climate of support for the service in the community. This position will also engage with diners and volunteers to promote a welcoming and inviting atmosphere.

Qualifications and Requirements:



  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Excel, scanning, emailing, and the ability to quickly learn new technology platforms.
  • Kitchen experience preferred.
  • Must be able to read and follow verbal instructions.
  • Six months to one year of full-time equivalent experience in group leadership activities and working with older adults in a host/hostess role or comparable food service experience.
  • Must possess creativity and knowledge of public relations to create a positive image of the organization.
  • In addition to the hourly wage, a sign-on bonus of $500.00 will be available to you in two installments: $250.00 upon completion of three months of employment and $250.00 upon six months of employment. Employment must be in good standing at the time of said bonus payment. This sign-on bonus is less applicable taxes.
