General Summary

The Accessory Technician tests, adjusts, troubleshoots, repairs and/or overhauls core aircraft accessory components to manufacturer specifications, customer expectations, and Duncan approved procedures in a clean and safe work environment, with assistance as needed. In addition, this position accurately prepares and completes appropriate documentation.

Essential Job Functions



  1. With minimal supervision, troubleshoots, repairs, overhauls, and tests core accessory components using hand tools, power tools, ground support equipment, test equipment and technical documents. Orders parts needed to complete the work.



  1. Researches, prepares, and signs off various documents, including updating work order status, for record keeping purposes as required by Duncan approved procedures, manufacturers' maintenance manuals, and FAA regulations with minimal supervision.



  1. Provides accurate repair and overhaul information for creating estimates.



  1. Maintains and cleans test equipment and work area as required.



  1. Performs other duties as assigned management.


Job Specific Requirements

Licenses/Certificates: Respirator fit eligible

Attendance: Regularly scheduled attendance required

Physical: Routinely lifts 50 lbs., occasionally lifts 100 lbs.; reads small print; hearing sounds associated with mechanical deficiencies; repetitive motion; works with moving parts and vibration; tolerates products and materials associated with component maintenance; tolerates standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching and sitting

Environmental: Tolerates working in noisy environments

Education and Experience



  • Associates Degree in related field or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum one year aviation component maintenance or related experience required
