Description
Stanley Consultants is currently seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to perform Federal airfield paving, site development, and other infrastructure designs. Preferred office locations are Austin TX, Baton Rouge LA, Chicago IL, Denver CO, Des Moines IA, Iowa City IA, Minneapolis MN, Muscatine IA, or Phoenix AZ. The successful candidate will exercise judgment in evaluating, selecting, and applying standard design engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to make design decisions and modifications. The position will include plan and specification preparation. The position will be initially accountable to the Federal Civil Department manager while working with Project Managers for project. The candidate will potentially lead a team of civil engineers, designers, & technicians with responsibility for delegating work tasks, managing the work schedule and ensuring proper work coordination amongst the team and with other technical disciplines. The candidate will be expected to mentor younger staff on design projects. Work will be on projects primarily for Department of Defense & other federal clients from a variety of branches and districts. Projects will utilize domestic and international standards. Assignments will occasionally include projects for local municipalities, private industrial clients, utility operators and public institutions. Job responsibilities:
