Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing crucial operational support, acting as a key escalation point for our global service desk, and designing and implementing network solutions for our campus and data centers. The successful candidate will also participate in IT projects and will be responsible for network discovery and documentation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and the ability to work independently.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide operational support for the network infrastructure, including troubleshooting complex issues and collaborating with other IT teams and external stakeholders across a multinational enterprise.
  • Design and implement network solutions for campus and data center networks, offering expert technical support and guidance on highly complex design issues.
  • Serve as an escalation point for the global service desk, providing technical expertise and guidance.
  • Conduct network discovery and documentation to ensure accurate representation and maintenance of the network.
  • Proactively utilize and develop network monitoring tools to notify the team of any issues, monitor network performance and capacity, and make recommendations for improvements and upgrades.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure the network infrastructure remains up-to-date and effective.
  • Manage Data Center operations, including rack building and maintenance, cabling, power management, High Availability options, capacity planning, forecasting, disaster recovery/business continuity, load balancing, and architectures.
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior network engineers and other IT staff.
Qualifications

Education:

  • BS or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or a related field (or commensurate experience).
  • CCNP/CCIE in Enterprise, Data Center, or Security is desirable.
  • 4-6 years' experience working as a network engineer in an enterprise environment.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong business acumen, action-oriented, and results-driven.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and techniques.
  • Expertise in Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, PIM), static routing, redistribution, and policy-based routing.
  • Proficiency in High Availability technologies (StackWise, VSS, VPC, LACP, PAgP).
  • Experience with Overlay Technologies (VXLAN, BGP EVPN, Cisco ACI).
  • Familiarity with WAN Technologies (MPLS, SD-WAN, DMVPN, IKEv1, IKEv2, GRE).
  • Proficiency with Firewalls (Cisco ASA, Cisco Firepower, FortiGate).
  • Knowledge of Remote Access VPN Technologies and Posture Assessment.
  • Experience with Cisco ISE for authentication and NAC.
  • Understanding of Network Services (DHCP, DNS, RADIUS, NTP, TACACS+).
  • Expertise in Enterprise Wi-Fi and RF Planning.
  • Proficiency with NX-OS, IOS-XE, IOS-XR.
