* Base Pay Range: $108,971 - $177,590 per year, based on experience

o Sign-On Bonus: $10,000

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION

Demonstrate ability to review and verify medication orders to assure appropriateness utilizing clinical information in the electronic medical record. Prioritizes medication orders based on acuity and order status (i.e. STAT, NOW, routine).

Provide appropriate patient specific medication recommendations that ensure safety, efficacy, and cost effectiveness.

Assist in education and training of pharmacy students and pharmacy technicians, and residents.

Serve as a resource for the pharmacy team, nursing, and prescribers for questions/issues related to pharmacotherapy; analyze literature to support usage and contact prescribers as needed.

Compound and dispense pharmaceutical preparations which includes, but are not limited to compounded sterile products (IV solutions, injectable medications, and irrigation solutions), oral products (solutions, suspensions), and topical preparations (ointments, creams).

Possession of a license to practice as a Pharmacist in the state of Missouri is required.

Previous experience in hospital pharmacy and/or the completion of an ASHP Accredited Residency is preferred.

All duties and standards within this document will be performed in compliance of regulatory guidelines and applicable federal/state laws according to University policies and procedures.
