As the Supervisor, Radiography III here's the work you'll do:

  • Provide direct supervision to the NDT staff, ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to departmental plans and policies.
  • Interpret codes, standards, and contractual documents that define the NDT methods used across various assignments.
  • Exercise technical oversight of the NDT facility, ensuring the highest level of service quality is maintained.
  • Select appropriate inspection methods for specific ammunition items, adapting techniques as required.
  • Prepare, review, and verify radiographic procedures, ensuring they meet both regulatory and efficiency standards.
  • Approve NDT procedures and work instructions for technical accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct training, examinations, and certifications for personnel involved in radiographic and NDT inspections, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skill development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance processes, participate in audits, and contribute to quality assessments that align with organizational goals.

  • Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment in a fast-paced work environment.



  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, coupled with a high level of computer literacy.



  • Strong analytical skills with the capability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical standards.



  • Proven ability to interpret various codes and standards governing NDT practices, facilitating proper implementation of job duties.



  • Experience in conducting training sessions and providing oversight to junior personnel, promoting teamwork and knowledge sharing


  • Success in this position requires a proactive approach and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety within the workplace.

And these qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Degree in Engineering or related field strongly preferred.
  • Five years of NAS-410 and RT-XRAY required.
  • Level 3 Radiographer Certification strongly required.
  • Other: Near vision must be Jaeger No. 1 or equivalent, not less than 30 cm/12 inches in at least one eye, natural or corrected. Must be able to adequately distinguish and differentiate colors.



In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $93,600- $140,400. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. (The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements).

* Expertise in: EXCEL, WORD, CADD (Revit/Bentley)

* Ability to withstand environmental conditions (e.g. extreme heat or cold, grass, wind, sand, fumes, odors, gases, extreme noise, etc.)
