Apply now Date: Nov 15, 2024 Location: Company: The Advanced Satcom Systems and Operations Group focuses on the research and development of future state-of-the-art wireless communication systems. Developing next generation technologies for advanced communication satellites is the primary focus of the group. The group's activities encompass the design of new algorithms, protocols, concepts, systems, and architectures, the development of rapid HW/SW prototypes and testbeds, and verification through field experiments and operational demonstrations. Candidates with interest in communication systems and a strong background in math to learn the relevant digital signal processing and implement it would be ideally suited for this position. The Communications Systems Engineer will actively participate in the design, analysis, and implementation of novel waveforms, digital signal processing algorithms, dynamic resource allocation schemes, and/or advanced networking protocols. The individual will typically work in multi-disciplinary teams in which team members possess expertise in communications theory, networking, information assurance, systems engineering, RF, digital HW, and SW. The individual will have opportunities to work with the government, academia, and industry as well as make contributions towards DoD policy, requirements, acquisition, systems engineering, and operations.
