Description

  • Schedule and manage maintenance employees and follow up on results of activities.
  • Interacts with various levels of people in the plant as needed.
  • Ensures that TCF policies, procedures and guidelines are followed.
  • Supervises employee activities. This includes: evaluation and discipline; overall performance management; training and development; analyzing and resolving work problems; initiating or suggesting plans to motivate workers to achieve goals; and effective communication with associates.
  • Maintains safe working conditions in his/her area. Continually works on safety awareness with associates. Enforces safety regulations.
  • Builds, installs, maintains and repairs a variety of production and building equipment. Pending plant location, this may include electrical controls, circuits and control panels. In some locations, this may include plant grounds. This may include maintenance on forklifts, cranes and other operations equipment in the plant.
  • Disassembles equipment and determines extent of necessary repairs.
  • Replaces parts by operating machine tools, welding (pending plant location) or brazier as needed. This may include making parts. Reassembles equipment.
  • Follows prescribed preventative maintenance schedule in oiling, greasing and calibration of machinery. This may include blast booth, burn table and laser depending on location.
  • Ability to work as a team member towards overall Company objectives.
  • Identify current and future maintenance requirements by maintaining rapport with management, engineering, the operation's team, quality assurance and associates.
  • Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual maintenance/tooling budget; scheduling expenditures; and analyzing variance.
  • Identify and correct unsafe conditions specifically with machine guarding and operations of machinery and plant equipment.
  • Manage production efficiencies by determining maintenance work priorities; Scheduling repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools and equipment.
  • Manage and supervise efficient, dependable utility resources, (HVAC, compressed air, water, sewer, electricity, and gases).
  • Directs maintenance operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing TCF policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Design, implement, and modify preventative maintenance programs by reviewing production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics; inspecting operating machines, equipment, and systems for nonconformance with operational standards.
  • Maintain and improve professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, and reviewing professional publications.
  • Coordinate all preventive and predictive maintenance with a goal of 100% up-time on all equipment.
