Overview:

Veeco is hiring a Manufacturing Technician for its Final Test area. Primary responsibilities will be integrating and facilitating multi-component, complex systems to be operational. Troubleshoot and test systems to ensure all mechanical, electrical, communications, and software perform to specification. Manage all manufacturing test data associated withAcceptance Testing (ATL). Work with Engineering and R&D groups as required toresolve diverse & complex issues found during Test. Work with Manufacturing Engineering and Assembly TestTechnicians to resolve and close issues and disassembly and packaging for shipping to customers.

Responsibilities:



  • Bring complex systems to a functional state
  • Troubleshoot testing activity discrepancies
  • Work with Engineering groups as required toresolve diverse & complex issues found during Test
  • Communicate effectively with all Operations areas regarding project status and support needed.
  • Manage all manufacturing test data associated withAcceptance testing (ETL & ATL)
  • Analyze discrepancy data for each system to provide corrective action and target zero customer source inspection findings
  • Identify and provide improvements to test methods forexisting products and collaborate with Engineering to developmethodologies for new products/components
  • Disassembly tested systems and make them ready for shipment to customers


Qualifications

A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in testing and troubleshooting complex systems is required.An Associate's degree, technical engineering, or technical field service background is preferred. Up to 10% domestic and international travel is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Knowledge of hardware, software, and controlsystems - Analog / D-Net is preferred
  • Experience with high vacuum semiconductor hardware/practices and manufacturing is preferred
  • SAP skills that range from simple inquiries to complexreports and transactions (MM, PP modules)
  • Skills in identifying and resolving recurringproblems
  • Possesses interpersonal skills to interface with assemblytechnicians, engineering, management, customers, sales and marketing
  • Willingness to work overtime, holidays,and weekends as required to meet company revenue requirements


The expected salary range for this position is $54,185 - $60,000, plus bonus opportunity. When determining your pay, we will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
