ChampionX has an immediate need for a Sr Procurement Manager located in Sugar Land, TX. The Sr Procurement Manager is responsible for establishing and deploying the Logistics Global Category Strategy across the regions and country organizations as it relates to Sourcing Toolkits, Spend Analytics, Governance, Spend Under Management, Project Pipeline, Supplier Scorecards. The Sr. Procurement Manager will serve in a player/coach capacity, while leading a team and influencing the regions, while providing consistent methodologies that accelerate the sourcing process and increases the delivered value.

What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for total delivered cost (TDC), security of supply, accelerated supplier innovation and procurement process improvements across the organization for Logistics Category.
  • Develops and drives the overall strategy in alignment with ChampionX functional, and business unit objectives.
  • Lead and develop strategic supplier relationships at the executive level.
  • Attract, hire, and retain top talent to ensure appropriate succession planning.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop direct/indirect reports within assigned global procurement team to improve skills, execution, and results.
  • Develop global sourcing strategies and drive execution using TDC Sourcing Principles.
  • Establish and update processes and metrics to deliver optimum Total Delivered Cost (TDC) in order to maximize net structural savings.
  • Maintain awareness of global macro-economic factors that directly impact ChampionX procurement costs including global indirect material costs, labor cost, transportation cost and foreign exchange.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, chemistry, or related business degree
  • 7+ years experience in Procurement / Logistics
  • 3+ years Supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of supply partnering, productivity savings, successful procurement strategies, and leading & coaching global teams.
  • Specific industry knowledge and relationships in Domestic & International Logistics.
  • Knowledge of commercial business law
  • SAP / Oracle / GEP Experience
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication
  • Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite
