Overview

Play a strategic role in shaping the long-term direction of Esri's IT landscape and the Information Systems and Technology (IST) organization, its alignment with Esri business objectives, and the delivery of commitments IST makes to its business colleagues. Our EA team assesses desired capabilities, defines value streams, reengineers business processes, and selects technologies to build complete solutions that drive business value for Esri.

Our ideal candidate is abusinessperson who can articulate a vision and strategy, a technologist who can help guide technical direction and tradeoffs for implementation teams, and a delivery leader who can coordinate cross-functional efforts across the company. You have credibility through your experience, the ability to build working relationships at all levels, and willingness to jump in wherever necessary to make our projects successful.

Responsibilities



  • Align IST with business objectives by


    • Coalescing the Esri product development and go-to-market strategies and timelines, and ensuring that IST strategies are well aligned to support these business objectives
    • Measuring business capability maturity and identifying areas where IT investment will be most impactful


  • Deliver business value by


    • Partnering with business and other IST leaders to implement effective solutions in a timely and cost-effective manner
    • Leveraging and enriching enterprise data by connecting cross-functional business processes
    • Ensuring standards are useful to the organization without being onerous


  • Establish long-term technical direction by


    • Providing technical leadership on infrastructure, application platform, and integration models and standards
    • Leading the enterprise architecture team to align technology direction to capability, efficiency, and security objectives
    • Connecting with thought leaders in Software Development and Professional Services on future technology trends for Esri software products



Requirements



  • 15+ years of experience in IT or software development
  • Experience with formal EA frameworks and demonstrated ability to move from the theoretical to the practical
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Collaborative, team-based approach
  • Bachelor's in computer science or related field

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is
$177,840 $309,920 USD
