This position reports to

Production Development Manager

Your role and responsibilities

*Develop and optimize new manufacturing processes, equipment and fixtures. Perform process capability studies ensuring manufacturing processes are in control. Responsible for accuracy of product routing and times. Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions.
*Continuously improve the production floor through standardizing manufacturing methods.
*Provide technical assistance for applicable departments to ensure the smooth operation of processes. Work with manufacturing specialists to troubleshoot existing molds, processes and equipment. Work with tool engineering to complete proofing of all new tooling. Provide departments with process input for new and redesigned products.
*Manage long term capital improvement projects.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent experience and 4+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • Experience in process development, and/or lean manufacturing methods desired.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 40lbs, perform bending, twisting, reaching motions, pull/push functions and perform repetitive operations. Must be comfortable working with heavy equipment and in a non-climate controlled environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 15%.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
