Product Marketing Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to implement product marketing strategies in line with global product strategy in assigned area to meet business objectives. Each day, you will implement marketing activities and support Sales organization in driving sales and services for respective products. You will also showcase your expertise by driving sales efficiency by providing appropriate product knowledge information and training.
The work model for the role is: Remote, #LI-Remote
This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions division located in the west coast. Main stakeholders are power utilities & OEM.
You will be mainly accountable for:
*Review and evaluate project specifications and end-user customer requirements to provide electrical solutions including one-line electrical diagrams, schematic diagrams, lay-out & equipment drawings, equipment specifications and project budget pricing for medium voltage Grid applications.
*Accountable for supporting the customer during the homologation process and pilot projects.
*Be the local product expert in the following products and applications: Intelligent Electronic Device (EID), Protection Relays, Centralized Protection & Software and other Digital Substation Products.
*Thought leadership - Participate in and develop papers for IEEE and other industry events/ conferences to raise awareness of ABB solutions.

Qualifications for the role
  • Master's degree in Engineering with 4 years of experience or Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical with a minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in the Electrical Distribution industry.
  • Fluent in English, speaking and writing.
  • Capability to establish and nurture partnership relationships with the regional engineering consulting community is required.
  • PE (Professional Engineer) certification is a plus
  • Previous field, plant or design engineering in electrical power systems at major oil and gas companies, electric utilities or industrial facilities preferred.
  • Knowledge of industry codes and standards, ANSI, IEEE, NEC, NEMA, NFPA 70E, UL is preferred.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 25 percent of the time but ability to visit customers in local area regularly.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $92,500 and $171,500 annually and is eligible for a short-term incentive plan/annual bonus.
