Maintenance Technicians (all shifts)

Your role and responsibilities
Follow instructions given by the maintenance supervisor or other assigned maintenance personnel. Performs routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment. Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment and completing preventive maintenance. Motors and Motor Controller: troubleshoot motor controls for faults and make repairs as necessary. Variable Frequency Drives works with VFDs in system diagnosis to include fault analysis. Circuit Protection, and control circuit fault diagnosis, some familiarity with circuit protective devices. Control Ladder Logic, as it relates to Program Logics Control (PLC) portion of troubleshooting or writing logic programs, Allen Bradly, Rockwell Automation, AB RSlogix 5000, Studio 5000, SLC-500. Hydraulics systems, Pneumatics controls, Mechanical CNC repairs, HAAS, Mazak, Fanuc, OKK, Enshu, Toshiba, Spindle repairs, Desma.
Qualifications for the role
- High school graduate or GED required and two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrates ability to comprehend blueprints and schematics for purposes of decision making.
- Must own hand tools and tool chest. As required in their position, company will provide work bench and selected specialty tools which will remain company property. Ability to interact and respond as a team member and to communicate effectively over the phone.
- Mechanical and/or electrical abilities must be satisfactorily demonstrated.
- Good English communication skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) to be able to communicate and discuss with English speaking internal and external customers.
- Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and in small group situations.
- An understanding of electrical theory and experience in working with 480 volts equipment and 120 volts controls.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
