Sr. Food Service Worker, Per Diem Retail Food Services Per Diem 80704BR Job Summary This person works as a team to provide food service that is safe, accurate, timely, and responsive to the customer and patient's needs. Food service includes stocking, assembling, and serving portion-controlled hot and cold food, replenishing and stocking stations, and cleaning and sanitation of food service areas and equipment in a safe manner. This person may be cross-trained to work in several areas within Nutrition & Food Services. Retail Food Service includes serving, cashiering, bussing, and barista duties. Patient Food Services includes assembly and delivery of patient meal trays. Catering Food Services includes setup, serving, and cleanup of catering events across UCSF Health sites. Sanitation Services include detailed kitchen equipment deep cleaning, thorough floor and floormat cleaning, waste sorting and removal as well as dishroom and potroom duties. Storeroom includes receiving, rotating, stocking, and issuing food and supplies to support food service operations within Nutrition and Food Services as well as units within UCSF Health as well as maintaining relationships with vendors. This position may be responsible for cash, credit card, and debit card transactions. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer, patient, and staff interactions and is looked upon as the ambassador for the Department of Nutrition and Food Services.
