Evanston Hospital part of Endeavor Health and the principal teaching affiliate of the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine seeks an Advance Practice Provider for our Evanston Outpatient Clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized nursing care tailored to meet the unique physical and psychological needs of patients, ensuring comprehensive and age-appropriate care.
• Collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare team members to deliver high-quality patient care in an acute care setting.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans to achieve the best possible patient outcomes.
• Serve as a clinical expert, coordinating care for complex cases, offering patient education, and facilitating smooth discharge processes.
• Utilize advanced data analysis skills to address complex clinical or administrative challenges, and design innovative care systems and programs.
• Demonstrate strong communication abilities to effectively engage with the entire healthcare team.
• Exercise significant decision-making authority over procedures, plans, and schedules within the role.
• Meet physical requirements, including the ability to stand or walk for extended periods, lift or carry objects over 20 pounds, and perform patient positioning and care tasks.
• Maintain a high attention to detail when proofreading, data entry, or examining specimens, images, or reports.
• Work in conditions that may involve unpleasant duties, use of equipment, or procedures that could result in minor injuries if not performed carefully.
• Participate in on-call rotations as required.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Nursing (MSN or MS) required, with previous experience as an Advanced Practice Nurse preferred.
• Master Degree as Physician Assistant w/previous experience in psychiatry
• Certification in the relevant specialty is essential.
• Valid Illinois Registered Nurse license, with current or pending Illinois Advanced Practice Nurse license.
• Current CPR Certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Experience in Behavioral Health patient care and management is required.
