Job Description

Primary Location:

Springville, Utah

Driver Supervisor: Leads a team of delivery personnel and maintains delivery standards as established by management teams by performing the following job duties:

Work with and train all delivery personnel through work-withs to increase efficiencies and effectiveness at retail.

Work with delivery personnel to increase performance standards:

  • No missed stops.
  • Move Beer procedures followed.
  • All Quality Assurance standards followed.
  • Product moving procedures followed
  • Cooler, back-stock, and shelves stocked on every delivery.
  • Conduct rotation audits on drivers while covering/training delivery routes.
  • Assists with store resets for all routes assigned

Manage vacation schedule to ensure adequate route coverage. Assists with vacation coverage for all routes.

Complete work-withs/route rides with subordinates to ensure efficiency and compliance with policies.

Participate in weekly department meetings to ensure delivery 'team' concept.

Help manage the 'Hot Shot Program'.

Attends all scheduled meetings.

Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Position requires knowledge of delivery operation techniques, with strong organization and follow-up skills. Must possess excellent written/verbal skills and flexibility to address several opportunities/issues at one time efficiently. Basic computer literacy also required. Valid CDL and current DOT physical condition are required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must meet company driver qualifications. Maintain Class A Commercial Driver's License.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers,

customers, and employees.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to perform all basic math and business math functions.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
