We are looking for a Management Consulting/Business Intelligence/Data Analytics Intern to work, learn, and grow on exciting water sector projects. Your work will support project teams providing solutions for water resources, water quality, wastewater and water treatment, and recycled water planning and implementation issues that our water environment, transportation, and industrial sector clients are facing.

A Day in the Life of an Asset Management/Data Science Intern:



  • Design, analysis, and visualization of high-quality data and development of insights through use of analytics tools like Power BI, Tableau, Azure Analytics
  • Own multiple analysis projects that provide business process governance and oversight
  • Work to align processes and metrics with client risk framework, data management initiatives programs and goals
  • Consistent application of reporting and measurement standards
  • Consistent solution development for process improvements and efficiencies
  • Interface (with support as needed) with internal and client stakeholders on the above and driving action from any recommendations
  • Support assessments, planning of new strategies and initiatives, perform analyses, conduct research, and support implementation of new business practices, information management tools, etc.
  • Perform analyses on large utility datasets from systems such as: GIS, computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), SCADA, Customer information system, financial information system, and hydraulic modeling
  • Self-starter, possess good communication and time-management skills; provide attention to detail, and flexibility to work in geographically spread team-oriented environment
  • Develop and lean into digital and consulting skillsets we are using for client programs - like diagnostic/predictive analytics to stay at the forefront of relevant and innovative approaches as a consultant



Qualifications:



  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Machine Learning and AI, or Engineering Management
  • Completion of one year of qualified study
  • Experience using Excel and other Microsoft 365 Applications


Pay rate for this position is anticipated to be $20 to $30 per hour, and may vary based upon education, experience, qualifications, skills, licensure/certifications, seniority, geographic location, and performance.
