Overview AHNMG Critical Care APP Fellowship Program Atrium Health Navicent Medical Group (AHNMG) is seeking a Critical Care APP Fellow in the beautiful and historic Macon, Georgia area. The Fellow candidate would join our experienced team of physicians and advanced practice providers for a 1 year didactic and clinical fellowship program with full immersion in specific critical care competencies through real-time exposure to patient care with a goal of fostering greater critical thinking above and beyond the level received in their formal education. AHNMG is an established multispecialty group of 250+ clinicians who provide professional medical services to Atrium Health Navicent. Atrium Health Navicent is a 637-bed level one trauma center. As the second largest hospital in Georgia and a nationally recognized academic medical center, Atrium Health has seen phenomenal growth and expansion fostered by a provider-lead medical group and leadership team striving toward a common goal of excellent patient care and outcomes. Each critical care unit is between 10 and 16 beds. In addition to scheduled simulation labs organized by the Atrium Health Center for Advanced Practice located in Charlotte, NC, fellows will have the opportunity to learn many critical care procedures, including tube thoracostomy, central venous catheter insertion, arterial catheter insertion, thoracentesis, paracentesis, lumbar puncture and hemodialysis catheter insertion. The critical care fellowship will further the APP's knowledge of evidence-based practice, basic research techniques, guideline development and quality improvement initiatives. Overall, it will prepare the APP to be a well-rounded provider, leader, and resource within the critical care team. Education, Experience and Certification Nurse Practitioner: Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner educational program with a Master's degree required Licensed by the Georgia Board of Nursing to practice as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse required Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and collaboration skills Ability to perform all skills in the critical care setting Physician Assistant: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant educational program with a minimum of a Master's degree required Must be certified by the State of Georgia Composite Medical Board Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and collaboration skills Ability to perform all skills in the critical care setting For more information on this unique opportunity with AHNMG, please contact the Center for Advanced Practice at centerforadvancedpractice@atriumhealth.org Macon is situated south of metropolitan Atlanta and is a wonderful place to live, learn and work.
