What You Will Do:

Machine rod guides as per customer demand in accordance with all quality and safety protocols

  • Uses complex machines in the production process
  • Maintains and repairs machines as needed
  • Maintains a clean and safe work area every day
  • Follows safety rules and procedures; notifies supervisor of any issues in the manufacturing process that may impact safety
  • May coach and mentor less experienced Operators
  • May make recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations
  • Knows and complies with all safety policies and procedures
  • Contributes to the department continuous improvement culture
  • Maintains confidentiality of all matters
  • Other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent education and/or experience
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Good oral and written communication skills, especially the ability to follow written and spoken instructions
  • Basic analytical skills
  • Basic blueprint reading and interpretation skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Basic tool skills, including the ability to use a tape measure
  • Basic organizational and time management skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Immigration sponsorship not offered for this role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with machine tools

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly
  • Role is deemed safety sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • The employee is regularly required to talk or hear
  • The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
  • The employee is regularly required to stand for a full shift
