Your role and responsibilities
The Regional Sales Manager will direct and manage multiple sales channels supporting the Power Switching business to ensure growth targets are attained for all products, services & solutions in the specified region. In this role, you will manage independent representative agents (iReps), and external partner / channel accounts for optimal performance and growth. The work model for the role is: remote (Li-Remote), but the preferred living location is Atlanta, as you will cover the southeastern ABB territory. This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power division in the southeastern region. You will be mainly accountable for: * Lead region to develop and execute strategy to close profitable orders for following products: Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) & Paralleling Switchgears (PSG); Ensure assigned region meets and/or exceeds the annual order's goal * Execute annual detailed account strategies with OEM customer, iReps, channel partners and for key end users in pursuit of top line growth across the region and collaborate with multiple ABB sales teams and channel partners to drive sales directly with end-users and through gen dealers, electrical contractors, distribution, and OEM accounts * Develop strategic end user customer relationships with key decision makers, support complex contract negotiations, and own accuracy of orders, commitments and convertible orders forecast and serve as a focal point for sales forecasts * Ensure all orders are in strict compliance with ABB Risk Review Process * Provide clear communication to iReps, and channel partners on ABB objectives, priorities, product development roadmaps and other business considerations * Partner closely with Product Leaders & Customer Support organization to ensure alignment of our ITO and OTR processes to meet customers CTQs
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline and/or advanced business degree. Others considered based on applicable industry experience.
- Minimum 5 years experience in sales with successful track record and tangible results working with third party channel partners, relevant consultants and contractors, distributors and end users in the data center, critical power, power quality or related industries, as well as thorough understanding of customer base and channel in assigned region.
- Strong knowledge of the electrical power industry
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office essentials & Salesforce.com.
- Ability to travel regularly.
