Water & Wastewater Engineering Internship

Job Summary

Fishbeck is seeking a motivated civil or environmental engineering student for a summer 2025 internship position. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and committed to high-quality work. Must have excellent planning, organization, and communication skills, and can work well with other staff in a project team environment.

Primary Functions


  • Assist in engineering evaluations and design of water and wastewater systems.
  • Data evaluation and preparation of engineering reports.
  • Working closely with technical staff from all Fishbeck offices.
  • Interacting daily with project teams in a multi-disciplinary and multi-office environment.


Minimum Physical Requirements

Exposed to occasional lifting and carrying. Will have normal office working conditions and be required to sit and use a computer. Capable of traveling to and maneuvering around project sites for attending client and project meetings and site observations. Able to use various technical equipment for communication and documentation. Visual acuity necessary to perform responsibilities.

Desired Education/Licensure

Enrolled in a Civil or Environmental Engineering program

Desired Skills/Experience


  • Previous water and wastewater intern experience is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit.
