Preparing and cooking a variety of food items for our cafeteria, ensuring the quality and freshness of all dishes served. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to Prepare and cook a variety of food items, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, following established recipes and procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all health and safety regulations. Stock and replenish food supplies as needed. Assist with food preparation and serving as required. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Applicants must be 16 years of age. Job applicants will be reviewed and interviewed according to applications and interviews will begin Oct 4th. JOB SPECIFICATIONS: SKILLS: Food preparation, Cooking EDUCATION: English reading, writing and communication, basic math EXPERIENCE: Restaurant kitchen experience. LICENSE NEEDED: None PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Combined standing/walking position for up to 8 hours per shift. Will stand in place for up to 30 minutes. Will get breaks as available. Will lift up to 25lbs frequently, up to 50lbs occasionally. Will bend, squat, kneel climb, twist, and reach above shoulder level on a frequent basis; will use hands for grasping and fine manipulation. Worksite is 100% inside and be exposed to fumes, odors, mechanical and burn hazards. All sensory skills needed. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Must become knowledgeable of Schweitzer Mountain Resort facilities, services, and activities. Responsibilities are listed as guidelines and the position is not necessarily limited to these items . MACHINES/TOOLS OPERATED: Ovens, processors, basic kitchen tools-knives, dish machine.
