JOB TITLE / DEPARTMENT: Guest Services Representative / Guest Services POSITION TYPE: Seasonal, includes weekends and holidays WAGE RANGE: $15.00 to $17.00 / hour D.O.E. SUPERVISORY: No SUPERVISED BY: Guest Services Manager POSITION SUMMARY: Season Pass and Day Ticket Sales, Guest Service Counter SEASONAL: Mid-November through mid-April ESSENTIAL FUNCTONS: To create a friendly and helpful environment. Will perform sales transactions and fulfillment for ticket and/or season pass products using a computer, take digital photographs, print passes, answer phone and return phone calls, handle cash, balance daily till, do end of day reconciliation and assist guests. Must become knowledgeable of Schweitzer facilities, events, and services. Will deal with coupons, discounts, and specials. Will interact with guests and gather information on a daily basis to have them take part in Schweitzer's Guest Surveys. Daily filing and organization of materials. Responsible for keeping office areas neat and clean. Good telephone and communications skills are necessary. Requires weekends and holidays. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Required to complete paper work activities for up to 6 hours per shift; will stand/walk for up to 8 hours per shift. Breaks and lunch available between busy times on a varying schedule. Will lift up to 20 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs with help. Will bend, squat, kneel, climb, twist, and reach above shoulder level; will use hands for grasping and fine manipulation. Work site is 85% inside and 15% outside. Sensory skills of speech, vision and hearing required. Hazards are ice/snow. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Position is subject to math, filing and computer skills testing. Responsibilities are listed as guidelines and the position is not necessarily limited to these items. JOB SPECIFICATIONS: SKILLS: Strong interactive skills with guests and co-workers with a desire to be helpful and empathic. Competent computer literacy/skills, cashiering, 10-key, strong public relations/ guest services, accurate cash handling. Multi-tasking ability. EDUCATION: English reading, writing, communication, and math. EXPERIENCE: Customer services experience, six month's cashiering experience. LICENSE NEEDED: None. MACHINES OR TOOLS OPERATED: Computer, cash drawer, telephones JUDGEMENT / MENTAL COMPLEXITY: Moderate to high. Quick decisions with extensive guest services. Must be able to use deductive reasoning to find entry mistakes and problem solve.
