Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Order, receive, handle and store chemicals for cleaning, circuit imaging, and plating printed circuit boards.

  • Perform chemical additions to plating and imaging process tanks.

  • Keep accurate records of daily activities.

  • Strictly follow safety regulations, policies, and procedures.

  • Responsible for maintaining the standards of quality effluent as prescribed by the City of San Diego Metropolitan Industrial Waste Program (MIWP).

  • Operate the facility wastewater pretreatment system.

  • Responsible for chemical inventory for the facility

  • Control pH and heavy metal content as required by the MIWP permit.

  • Properly label and store waste as required by OSHA and EPA. Once initial training and certification is completed, will transfer hazardous waste to disposal facilities in accordance with DOT requirements.

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks as required to assure proper working conditions of the waste treatment system and the manufacturing process tanks.

  • Interface and assist City, State and Federal Inspectors when on site.

  • Maintain a safe and clean work area.

  • Assist maintenance staff and operators with preventive maintenance of equipment.

  • Assist other departments with forklift tasks when needed

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must possess working knowledge of waste treatment operations, processes, equipment, machinery and terminology.

  • Familiar with regulations relating to chemical safety and waste treatment.

  • Plumbing and pump repair skills.

  • Able to lift 50 pounds and work in hazardous chemical, fumes and odors environment.

  • Able to pass a physical and wear a full-face respirator.

  • Good communication skills, as well as, reading and writing abilities.

  • Flexible, organized and able to prioritizework.

  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions and interface with co-workers and supervisors.

  • 24 or 40 hour HAZWOPER certification a plus.

Education and Experience:

Education:

  • High school education or equivalent

  • Must complete EPA required training for handling hazardous materials and waste within 6 months of job assignment

  • Due to ITAR requirements, applicants must be a U.S. Citizen.

  • Be able to obtain security clearance

Preferred Experience:

  • Minimum of one year related experience preferred

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that my be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.
