JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Penn State Universityis seeking applications for the position of the Director of Practical Nursing Program.The Director of Practical Nursing Program develops, delivers, manages, and evaluates the practical nursing program providing leadership, consultation, program coordination, technical assistance, and related services. The position develops and maintains relationships with the State Board of Nursing, healthcare agencies, and Penn State faculty/staff to support programming needs. This position provides direct oversight of the PN program at the Lehigh Valley, Berks, Hazleton, and other Commonwealth Campuses that may offer the PN program in the future. Job Responsibilities:
In addition, this position will support the development and implementation of any campus that would like to start the program within the Penn State Commonwealth campus system. BSN required. Preference will be given to those candidates with an MSN. Prior experience in higher education and training in the healthcare field is preferred. A typical schedule for this role is Monday-Friday from 8-5 with occasional evenings, and weekends to provide the necessary oversight and support of the program.
